SEO GOALS
Ultimate Goal
The ultimate goal is revenue growth for your business.
SEO Goals
The way I can help you achieve revenue growth is to do SEO for your website so that it moves through the ranks with the aim being to achieve a listing firstly on the first page of Google and secondly within in the first three listings on the first page of Google.
Once in this prime position, your website should provide you with a significant increase in sales (if you are an on-line business) or a significant increase in business leads (if you are a service business).
Once the SEO goals have been achieved then you just need to do what you do best and that is run your business – with an increased and increasing customer base, achieving the ultimate goal of revenue growth.
Your website has to be on the first page of Google for keywords that your customers use when they are looking for your goods or services. This study done by Chitika in 2013 shows that 91.5% of Google traffic (people searching the web) do not go past the first page of Google.
Not only does your website need to be on the first page of Google, it also needs to be in position one, two or three. The results by Chitika (and others) show that these first three positions obtain by far the most number of clicks.
According to the Chitika study, websites in position one receive 32.5% of all clicks. Websites in position two receive 17.6% and those in position three 11.4%.
Thus position one, two and three accounts for 61.5% of all clicks and my goal as your SEO professional is to achieve one of these three positions for your website.
